How AppVerse Games Is Funded

Most AppVerse Games titles are free to play. Advertising, paid games and subscriptions, and voluntary support from players pay for hosting and development. This page explains each one, so you know where the money comes from.
Advertising
We show ads on our pages and between rounds in our games.
- Ads on the website and in our web games are served by Google AdSense. Our Android and Windows apps, when they launch, will use Google AdMob.
- Google and its partners choose the ads. We do not pick individual ads or endorse the advertisers.
- Ads are labelled and kept apart from game controls.
- We never ask you to click an ad. Please click only when an ad interests you.
You control whether ads are personalised. We show personalised ads only if you accept advertising cookies in our cookie banner. If you reject them, you will see ads that are not based on your browsing history. Our Cookie Policy explains how.
Ads suitable for all ages
Our site is for a general audience and our games are suitable for all ages, so we want every ad to be too.
- On the website, we block sensitive ad categories in AdSense, such as gambling, dating, alcohol and other adult themes.
- In our apps, the maximum ad content rating will be set to G (General audiences).
Filters are not perfect. If an unsuitable ad gets through, please tell us (see the end of this page). Parents can read our Children’s Privacy and Parents’ Guide.
Paid games and subscriptions
Some of our games are paid, and some offer a subscription. You buy them through Google Play or the Microsoft Store. The store shows the price before you pay and handles the payment and any refund. The store listing says what each purchase includes. Only adults may make a purchase.
A subscription renews until you cancel it in the store’s settings. Our Terms of Use explain how that works.
Support on Ko-fi
If you enjoy our games, you can support us on Ko-fi. Support is voluntary and for adults only. It is a gift and unlocks nothing: the games stay the same for everyone.
App store links
We link to Google Play and the Microsoft Store so that you can install our games. We earn no commission from those links. We earn money there only if you choose to buy a paid game or a subscription.
Our guides are our own
We write our guides and strategy articles ourselves. Nobody pays to be featured in them. If we ever publish sponsored content or affiliate links, we will label them clearly on the page.
Seen a bad ad?
Tell us at play@appversegames.com. Include the page or game, the date and time, and a screenshot if you can. We will block the ad or advertiser.
