About AppVerse Games
AppVerse Games is an independent studio in South Africa that makes puzzle and board games. Most are free to play in your browser, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Android and Windows versions are coming to Google Play and the Microsoft Store. We attempt to develop for as many platforms as possible, depending on time and funding.
Our games

- 2048: slide and merge matching tiles.
- Mahjong Solitaire: match pairs of free tiles to clear the board.
Board games

- Tsoro: a quick three-in-a-row game from Zimbabwe.
- Oware: the West African mancala game of sowing and capturing seeds.
- Fanorona: the capture game from Madagascar.
- Surakarta: an Indonesian game where pieces capture by racing round corner loops.
- Checkers: the classic jump-and-capture board game.
- Tic Tac Toe: noughts and crosses against the computer or a friend.

What we believe in
- Free where we can. Most of our games are free to play. Some games and extras are paid or offered by subscription.
- No account needed. Open a game and play. Your progress is saved on your own device, and the games never ask for personal information.
- Family-friendly. Our site is for a general audience and our games are suitable for all ages. We filter ads so they suit a family audience.
- Play anywhere. The same game runs in your browser now, and on Android and Windows when those versions launch.
- Home-grown. We are proud to bring African games such as Morabaraba, Tsoro, Oware and Fanorona to players everywhere.
How we build our games
We build every game with Flutter, Google’s toolkit for making one app that runs on many devices. That is how a puzzle you start in your browser will look and play the same on a phone or a Windows PC.
How we are funded
Advertising, paid games and subscriptions, and voluntary support on Ko-fi pay for hosting and development. We keep ads apart from the game controls and never ask you to click them. Read more on How AppVerse Games Is Funded.
Learn to play better
