PAIA Manual
Prepared under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), and updated for the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Last updated: 18 October 2026

7. How to request a record
- Complete Form 2 (Request for Access to Record), available from the Information Regulator’s website.
- Describe the record clearly, say which right you want to exercise or protect, and explain why you need the record for that right.
- Attach proof of your identity. If you act for someone else, attach proof of your authority. A parent or guardian can make a request for their child.
- Send the form by email to play@appversegames.com.
We decide within 30 days and tell you our decision in writing. The law allows one extension of up to 30 days in some cases. If so, we will tell you.
8. Fees
The fees are set by the PAIA Regulations. A request fee is payable before we process a request, unless you are asking for your own personal information. Access fees for searching, preparing and copying may also apply. See the Regulator’s fee structure.
9. If we refuse your request
We do not have an internal appeal process. If you are unhappy with our decision, you can, within 180 days:
- complain to the Information Regulator on Form 5, sent to PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za;
- or apply to a court for relief.
10. Where to find this manual
This manual is on our website. We will also send a copy on request. We review it at least once a year.
